SBA Business Development Officer - NJ
Position Summary:
Responsible for generating, processing, and closing SBA-guaranteed loans through calling efforts, marketing, and referrals. Focus on developing strategies for soliciting and developing profitable SBA loan and account relationships. Responsible for credit quality, policy compliance, and risk mitigation while achieving portfolio growth and profitability objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Source and develop new business (SBA 7a and Express loans) to meet annual loan growth and deposit goals, with a target of $15 million subject to annual review.
Build relationships with COIs and loan brokers to source SBA loans.
Collaborate with relationship managers and attend meetings with prospects and clients as requested.
Structure SBA loan proposals, complete initial underwriting, and prepare credit packages. Ensure thorough and accurate loan presentations with the underwriting team.
Present credits for approval to appropriate authority levels within the bank.
Work with the loan administrator and loan service provider to manage due diligence, closing, and loan sale processes.
Manage a portfolio of existing and new SBA loans.
Maintain high credit quality standards through the credit approval process by reviewing financial and market data and eligibility requirements.
Reinforce policies and procedures to comply with the bank's fundamental business and credit priorities.
